  2. Wow, I have had some feedback - sadly not from my revered Alaskan reader, re "Spy Under The Bonnet" thoughtlet.

I agree with you Chris, (is that wise - ed) that there is a much bigger discussion to be had, here. In my defence, it was 2 am. when I came across the issue of Elon Musk, the Tesla electric car and a New York Times reporter's test drive - and their subsequent spat about what was done or not done during a test drive. As far as Musk was concerned, the logging told the truth and the whole truth!

I will do a full post (add it to the growing list and prioritise it - circulation ed) on my full thoughts on logging in software, as I have what appear to be decades (seems but moments - ed) of experience in this area (have to admit I am in love with logging - but then I am a little bit of a saddo (sad person - nothing to do with S&M) on that front. [Note my shades of grey period was the early '80s - grey shoes, trousers etc etc. - so please don't get too excited - fashion ed]

To put it more succinctly (for once), just because the logging tells you something - it ain't necessarily so that that is what actually happened. (Cut and paste error anyone - software ed)

  3. Logging and Blogging amounts to the same then.

Some of my work (!) involves (nearly) understanding statistics so perhaps we shall reinvent a quote..

    "Blogs, Logs and Statistics"

I would comment further but i wouldnt want to put your other reader(s) off and the incredible advances in mobile technology makes it almost impossible for my thumbs to find the right spot on this little touch screen.
