A hospital for teenagers?
Walking from Waterloo to Westminster every work day (well nearly every work day, he does take the occasional day off - ed) I spotted the General Lying in Hospital which made me think that maybe it is a hospital for teenagers?
Splurge of posts
You may or may not have noticed that there has been a splurge of posts recently - all linked with photos.
"Why is this?",
I hear you ask (please don't all ask at the same time - get in order please and I will deal with you one at a time - ed)
Well Dropbox have a new phone app - called Carousel. This is a neat (like cool but used in the 70's - vernacular ed) bit of software that makes it a whole lotta (love? - music ed)... no no no... simply a whole lot easier to share photos (wot I have taken - Ernie Wise ed)
Given that I take a whole lotta (love? - annoying music ed) .. no no and thrice no.. lotta photos - with my phone - generally of anything that catches my eye (just the one eye? - pedantic ed) - and the phone is connected to (your thigh bone - music ed)...no no no.. connected to my dropbox account the photos are automatically backed up (when he has a Wifi connection - tech ed)... and this "App" makes it a lot easier to share my photos. So well done Dropbox - most impressed with the ease of use - and it has got me blogging again (muted hurrahs - circulation ed).

Da Boys - October 2013 in Bristol
Visited the boys in Bristol - and this is what they looked like!
Philip and Daniel
They seem to get taller and hairier each time I see them... whereas I seem to be doing the opposite - getting shorted and losing hair...

View of Parliament whilst walking over Westminster bridge
Given that I am working in the Home Office (on a contract naturally) - I get to walk over Westminster Bridge every day. I seem to need to act like a tourist on a regular basis - by taking pictures of Parliament with good sunsets behind it. This is one of those... will add some more shortly.

The chaps vying for the Friday shirt award
Paul, Chris and Paul vying for Friday shirt of the week award
Paul in the red shirt won.... needless to say I was gutted.

Wandering around the Embankment after work - inspired by H V Morton "In Search of London"
Bridget had a leaving do at work a week or so ago and so I had a wander around. The walk was inspired by the book that I have been reading for a number of weeks. A travel writer, H V Morton, writing in the 1950's about post war London.
The author has an ability to find nuggets of information and bring to life London throughout the ages. One chapter deals with walking down the Embankment - so I decided to do the same and take a few photos of the statues, building and flowers (fabulous swathes of vibrantly coloured (colored - US ed) tulips.
I was so struck by them that we both went to London on Easter Saturday to do a much more extended walk
Wandering around the Embankment gardens (click the link if you can spot that it is a link - if you click on the first photo - you will get full size - I can take a reasonably good photo when I am awake!)

Wandering around London on Saturday during Easter weekend 2014
After the wander after work (which strangely is a laster post than this one) we (Bridget and I) decided to go on a much longer walk to see the blooming tulips and varied statues on the Saurday between Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Here is what we saw: With thanks to H V Morton for the idea
